UdaipurTimes, Nov 2, 2026 - Work on the proposed elevated road connecting Pratap Nagar to Debari in Udaipur is expected to gain momentum after the Diwali festival. Officials have reviewed the progress of the proposal and directed the concerned authorities to expedite the project.

The 1,900-metre-long elevated road, being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 33 crore, is targeted for completion within two years. It is expected to benefit approximately 1.5 to 2 lakh people, besides thousands of commuters and vehicles that use this route daily.

Before construction starts on the project, a comprehensive traffic diversion plan will be prepared to prevent congestion and traffic build-up while work is ongoing. Authorities will also take into account and address issues relating to major traffic congestion points and bottlenecks across the entire corridor.

Once the Pratap Nagar-Debari elevated road is complete, traffic movement along the Pratap Nagar-Dhikli Road, Pratapnagar-Transport Nagar Road and the route connecting Rakhampura and Bedwas to Debari is expected to get smoother thus allievating congestions and mishaps.
