Udaipur needs to eradicate all social evils: H.R Kudi

Udaipur is on no.1 position in the poll including cities where social evils like Mutana, beating women in the name of Dayan etc is prevailing, said the H.R Kudi president of Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission during his visit to Udaipur.

Udaipur is on no.1 position in the poll including cities where social evils like Mutana, beating women in the name of Dayan etc is prevailing, said the H.R Kudi president of Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission during his visit to Udaipur.

Kudi said that he visited Udaipur on Saturday to see all the pending cases of the commission from a long time and to discuss with Udaipur’s administrative officers with which immediate actions can be taken to dispose off the cases early.

Kudi highlighted that his main reason behind coming to Udaipur was to work on eradicating the increasing cases of social evil prevailing in Udaipur division. He also expressed concern on the recently occurred case of Chaarbhuja area of Rajsamand of stripping a woman and torturing her by calling her Dayan. He also emphasized that till the tribal people are not educated and made aware of certain things, nothing can be changed.

There are around 400 pending cases with the commission in the entire state but Udaipur is at low side of the list with only 150 pending cases comparatively.

Talking further about the pending case Kudi said that most of the pending cases are those against administrative officer or policeman, education and medical and health department.

On Saturday it was decided that soon a seminar or a project will be organised at Udaipur by the Human Rights Commission in which many NGOs, Social Workers and institutions will be involved to educate the people for eradicating the social evils from the society,Kudi added.
