The Central Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj came to Udaipur today under a program launched by the PM Narendra Modi on the occasion of completion of 1 year of the government. PM launched this program to inform general public about the work done by the government and ordered his ministers to visit various cities of the country to publicize the work and get the feedback.

Swaraj arrived late in the city as she had to attend an urgent meeting regarding the Saurabh Kalia matter. She added that they have reviewed the matter and decided to take vital steps in this regard.

Putting front the achievements of the central government, Swaraj said that the governemtn has been effiecient in every field, working diligently for the betterment of the people. While maintaining transparency in decisions, the level of corruption has been reduced in the country under the present government.

The Modi government has launched 3 major schemes viz. Jan Dhan Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana and Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana for the upliftment of the poor. Under these schemes, one can get their lives insured for Rs. 2 Lac against nominal premium amount.

Swaraj highlighted the development of the middle class section saying that a pension scheme Atal Pension Yojana has commenced for people aged 18 to 40 years against a premium of Rs. 42 per annum will get pension after 60years of age. This is beneficial for all as only government employees were benefited with the pension. On the other hand, under the Mudra Bank Scheme, small scale business can get a loan of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 1 0Lac.

While addressing the media here at Udaipur Sushma said that providing employment to the youth of the country is one of the biggest challenge of the government and for this “Make In India” is one of the initiative of the government which is targeted towards providing employment to the youngsters.

One of the major achievements of the government is the rescue operations conducted in Ukraine, Iraq, Libya and Yemen where thousands of Indians were rescued by the Indian government and 33 other countries have made a request to launch rescue operations in these countries on their behalf too, Sushma said.

Sushma Swaraj ended her speech with good news for Udaipurites that soon a passport office will open in the city that will give respite to many.
