A major part of the main road at Hiran Magri sector 4 which turned into a small hamlet of a particular group of people has been demolished today by the Anti Encroachment team of Urban Improvement Trust. Work of road widening is also started soon after the demolition.

The demolition work is executed without any resistance from the people who were residing in the area since years as administration has already allotted them a piece of land at titrdi.

The District Collector Rohit Gupta and UIT secretary RN Mehta along with their team started the operation early morning. There were mud houses and huts of 61 families, all belong to kalbeliya community.

Mehta further added that people living there were informed prior and asked to remove their commodities and valuables. The work of road construction and broadening has also started at the same time and now the road has been extended up to 120 feets, Mehta told.
