UIT has demolished illegally owned land at Dudh Talai in an ongoing action against encroachment. The 15,000 sq ft land was utilized as a gym and martial art training center.

The construction on the land was demolished and the land authority was given to Forest Department who actually owned the land but due to mismanaged paper work, the land was occupied by the encroachers.

According to sources, a demolition team under the direction of UIT reached the location. People who owned the gym protested during the action but were controlled by police and home guard team.

The property was encroached since last 15 years and its value is estimated to be around Rs.20 Crore.
