Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) held a meeting on conservation of all heritage buildings in the city, which needs aid to revive its significant existence. The meeting was head by the Mayor Rajni Dangi.

Representatives of a Jaipur based private consulting firm, local corporators and other officials of UMC were present in the meeting. An extended discussion was held on preserving the heritage buildings of the city, including the makeover of Ayad River and tourist spots of the city.

Meeting was held with the screening of GIS based Heritage Mapping & Listing for the City of Udaipur.

Several ideas and suggestions were exchanged between UMC officials and private company. Satyanarayan Acharya, Commissioner of UMC suggested to introduce special cell for Heritage and regular meet ups of the officials, including corporators of all areas should be conducted.

Acharya also said that effective measures should be taken to stop illegal constructions in the city.

Board members will jointly take forward the project to develop and protect the ancient heritage architect of the city.
