Coming into action after the Assembly Elections, The Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) seized dozens of advertising materials installed on road side illegally. The team also penalized street hawkers for encroaching on road.

Under the direction of UMC Commissioner Himmat Singh Barhath, a team lead by Revenue Officer Nitish Bhatnagar inspected the areas of Madhuban and Surajpol.

Bhatnagar informed that the team seized over two dozen illegal banners, hoardings and posters installed on electric polls and walls on road. UMC officials also evacuated street hawkers from the areas.

A dairy booth owner from Madhuban was also penalized for selling tobacco products in the stall which is illegal.

“The operation will continue for coming days in other areas of the city” said Himmat Singh Barhath.
