Udaipur, May 16, 205: Udaipur RTO has taken action against four firms that were renting out two-wheelers to tourists without the necessary licenses/approvals. 

As per Gyandev Vishwakarma, the Regional Transport Officer, a team of transport inspectors, under the supervision of District Transport Officer Nitin Bohra, reviewed two wheeler rental operators in Udaipur. This was done because the department had been apprised that there are few operators in Udaipur, who are merely taking permits and running vehicle rental services, without taking the necessaary operating license. The RTO, then instructed the DTO to carry out a thorough investigation and take action against such vehicle owners.

Vishwakarma said that challans were issued to four firms who were renting out vehicles without valid licenses.ok The four operators that were issued challans, included Shyam Travels, Ganesh Bike on Rent, S.S. Travels and Kanishka Bike Rental. All four have been instructed to cease their operations immediately and to only offer rental services after securing the necessary licenses as mandated by regulations. He has directed the flying squads stationed in the city to enforce strict measures against those conducting business without proper licensing and permits, and in cases of unauthorized activity, the vehicles should be confiscated immediately, with legal action taken against the individuals in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act.
