A female driver, who was allegedly talking on the phone while driving, hit a 19-year-old student at Goverdhan Vilas Area. The victim Kamal Singh is hospitalized with both legs fractured and injuries on head and hands.

Soon after the mishap, fellow students and friends of the victim expressed anger on the driver woman and thrashed her car. Goverdhan Vilas police has lodged a complaint against the driver.

Kamal Singh, first year student was standing near a tea stall when an Alto car whose driver was talking on phone hit him. Due to the blow Singh flung several feet high in the air and hit the tree. Consequentially the car also hit the wall.

The driver who was an elderly woman is said to be the doctor at the Government Hospital but her identity was not revealed by the police.

Driver woman has also received minor injuries. She expressed her apologies and said that she’d lost control over the car.
