Three members of a family were seriously injured when an auto rickshaw in which they were travelling, overturned near Mulla Talai today afternoon.
Hussaina Banu, 50, w/o Hussain Khan; Hasina Banu, 30, w/o Anwar Khan and Naaz Munira, 28, w/o Yunus Khan were seriously injured and rushed to MB Hospital. Four children, all under the age of 5, were also there in the rickshaw and have sustained minor injuries.
The group, members of a Muslim family residing at Khanjipeer, had been to Mulla Talai to attend a post funeral meeting at a relative’s house. On their way to the Mastaan Baba shrine, the auto, belonging to the family itself, overturned while negotiating a slope near the Khan wale Baba shrine.
The auto was filled over capacity and was carrying 8 people. All the injured are being treated in the hospital and are said to be out of danger.
