A workshop on preventing Child Labour was organized at Police Line today. Top police officials from several Police Stations were present in this workshop, which was organized by Child Fund India, a Delhi based organization.

 

City Police attends Workshop on Preventing Child Labour

A workshop on preventing Child Labour was organized at Police Line today. Top police officials from several Police Stations were present in this workshop, which was organized by Child Fund India, a Delhi based organization.

The participating police officials learnt about the legal processes and actions to curb Child Labour and Trade. The program was headed by Ravindra Singh, Inspector, Anti Human Trafficking Unit.

Joseph Mathew, Coordinator, Child Fund India, Udaipur, informed that, advocate of Delhi High Court, Anant Asthana shared several important information/guidelines to stop child abuse, child labour, trade of human body parts, trade of married underage girls etc. Anant also talked about Criminal Law 2013, PITA Act, J.J Act, Procso Act 2012 and provided measures to curb the offense.

Representatives of Haq Center for Child Rights, Shahbaz and Kumar Shalabh, informed police officials about legal procedures through case studies.
