Thabar Chand Damor who served as the Inspector General of Police for Udaipur region was given a heartiest farewell by their subordinates at a ceremony held in collectorate today.

Damor has taken voluntary retirement to take the post of Vice Chancellor of the Tribal University. As he took his post today he assured that he will set up the administrative office as soon as possible. He was positive that every activity of the university will be carried out according to the guidelines given by UGC.

With the full state honor, a police battalion gave formal farewell to T.C Damor who served I.G. of Udaipur for one year.

Damor started his career as a lecturer and later joined police services for next 35 years. Before he was appointed to Udaipur, T.C. Damor served as the I.G. of Anti-Corruption Bureau. Among his colleagues he was known for his simplicity and graciousness, he was always supportive to his juniors.

“I am both happy and sad to retire from the post of Inspector General. I remained too busy all these years and tried my best to serve my department and the common people” said T.C Damor.

T.C Damor was previously posted in Agartala, Jhalawad, Choti Sadri, Dausa, Bundi, Rajsamand, Baran and Chittorgah.

S.P Mahesh Kumar Goyal said, “I have heard a lot about T.C Damor from my colleagues.” District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar congratulated TC Damor and said,”It is fortunate for T.C Damor as he’s opting for such a high post of Vice Chancellor.
