Udaipur is all set to witness another flower show in the city at Fatah Sagar Pal from 25th December, considering that the preparation of the show is it in its last stage. On Wednesday the team of labors were seen at the Paal arranging different varieties of flowers in rows. Few administrative officers were also spotted who reached there to see the arrangements. B.L Kothari team leader of the National Lake Conservation Plan informed that the 10 day flower show is a joint effort by the Urban Improvement Trust and the Administration that will commence on 25th December at 3 pm. The people will enjoy the site of various unique varieties of flowers which they have never seen before. These flowers are brought from Pune, Hyderabad,Vadodra for the Flower Show. Hindustan Zinc, PWD, is also actively participating in making the show successful. The Garden Consultant Subodh Lodha claimed that the Plants like Gudhal, Orchids, Fireballs, Procotia are some unique species of plants which will be an attraction for the people of the city. Talking further about the event two of the garden consultants associated with the flower show B.L Lodha and Minakshi Lodha informed that Orchid is one of the expensive flower and they have included various varieties of Orchids in the show where as the rare Black Petunia flower will also attract the people. For the maintenance of the flowers, specially prepared mud has been filled in around 15 -20 thousand pots which will be placed at the Paal of Fatah Sagar lake, said Madhuri Lodha. Not only this, many of the Garden Superintendents, garden consultants, Hoteliers are also contributors to the event for the first time. Explaining about the flowers Lodha said that the Paal will be decorated with around 10,000 different varieties of flowers consisting of 4 rows of Orchid, 10 rows of Pecentia and Fireballs, 5 rows of Gajgamini and Penji flowers. Along with that, Sedum and Petunia’s in 3 rows each, Koliyus and Rose will be displayed in 6 rows and various varieties of Money plants, where 10000 plants of Petunia will be distributed among children.
