Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the Telephone Directory of Lake City Press Club at the Circuit House today on the second day of his stay in Udaipur. On the occasion, the President and Vice President of the press club also apprised him about various problems journalists and reporters of the city are facing, on which the chief minister expectantly assured to look after the matter.

The President, Akhtar Husain and Vice President, Manu Rao welcomed Ashok Gehlot with a traditional Mewari Paag and garland in the presence of representatives of various newspapers and news channels of the city.

After the inauguration of the directory, the chief minister had a discussion with journalists on several issues regarding those press reporters who have not yet received property under special scheme, fragile law of accrediting reporters and allotment of land to construct press club. Ashok Gehlot has expressed his deep concern over all the matters and also gave assurance to take positive step soon.

Manu Rao, Vice president of the press club said, “We are going to publish more than five thousand copies of the telephone directory. The directory consists of telephone numbers of all reporters, journalists and media houses in Udaipur.”

Treasurer of Press Club, NarendraPurbia, Secretary, Om PrakashPurbia, Senior Journalists, Sailesh Vyas, Munish Arora, Rajesh Verma, Ramesh Garg, Ravi Sharma and Rajendra Nayak and more than a dozen media personnel were present in the meeting with the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
