On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day today, a program was organized under the patronage of the District Tuberculosis Center. The event was held at the T.B Clinic, MB Hospital premises and a prize distribution ceremony was conducted to honor the volunteer students and doctors.

Prior to that an awareness rally was carried out from the St. Paul’s School, which concluded at the T.B Clinic, MB Hospital.

The program was chaired by Dr. Dinesh Kothari, Officer (RNTCP), DRHS, while the ceremonial lamp was lighted by Dr. R.N Bairwa, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Udaipur and Dr.A.N Mathur, Joint Director, Medical and Health Services, Udaipur Zone.

Dr. S.K Luhadia, Prof. and Head of Dept., T.B and Chest Diseases, RNT Medical College, Udaipur was also present as a Special Guest at the function.

The rally was attended by a number of doctors including Udaipur nursing students and school students of Devali Kacchi Basti and other schools.

A prize distribution ceremony was held, where the students of different schools of the slum areas were honored for their good work and contribution in various T.B camps held last year.

Many doctors were also awarded with certificates and prizes for their inputs in the camps. The prizes were distributed by Dr. Dinesh Kothari.
