Youth Honored for developing Public Park
Volunteers from Al-Nawaj Environmental Society, Dholi Bawdi were awarded with ‘Champion’s Greenery Award 2011-12’ by Rajni Dangi , Chairman of Nagar Parishad, Udaipur for their outstanding work in developing the common park located at Dholi Bawdi. The four youth volunteers, viz. Rais Khan, Firoz Khan, Arafat Khan and Taheer Khan too
Volunteers from Al-Nawaj Environmental Society, Dholi Bawdi were awarded with ‘Champion’s Greenery Award 2011-12’ by Rajni Dangi , Chairman of Nagar Parishad, Udaipur for their outstanding work in developing the common park located at Dholi Bawdi. The four youth volunteers, viz. Rais Khan, Firoz Khan, Arafat Khan and Taheer Khan took the initiative to renovate Hussaini Park, Dholi Bawdi over the last 3 years.
Later today, as a part of the same occasion, Hussaini Public Park, Dholi Bawri was inaugurated.
The Guest list at the event included Ravindra Shrimali, Former Chairman, Nagar Parishad; Raza Tahseen, Former Wild Wife Warden; Shiraj Ahmed, Socialist; Sharafat Khan, President, Anjuman Talimul Islam Committee; Sajjad Husain Sabri, Executive President; Laiq Ali Khan, R.S.F; Abdul Salam Khan, Councilor and Mohammad Akeel Shiekh, Socialist.
The ceremony started with the narration of verses from the Quran (Quran Khwani) followed by honoring the invited guests.
Rajni Dangi addressed the residents and appreciated everyone who was behind this renovation initiative, giving their precious time and financial help to the cause; by presenting mementos and shawls.
Raza Tehseen ,Wildlife Warden, suggested that, “arrangements can be made for feeding the sparrows who are on the verge of distinction, so that they can get used to visiting the park; but before serving it should be verified that the grains used are drained properly to remove pesticides and other toxins.”
Laiq Ali, in his address to the gathering said, “I really appreciate the efforts of the youth of Dholi Bawdi, who took the responsibility of redecorating the Hussaini Park which was lying barren fof the last 3 years.
