In order to express their anger over the stabbing of a Jain priest Muni Prabal Sagar at Junagarh, Gujarat, the Jain community of Udaipur has decided to keep their businesses closed tomorrow and will organize a protest rally.

In order to express their anger over the stabbing of a Jain priest Muni Prabal Sagar at Junagarh, Gujarat, the Jain community of Udaipur has decided to keep their businesses closed tomorrow and will organize a protest rally.

The decision came in a meeting that took place today at Adinath Bhawan sector-11, Hiran Magri under the leadership of Acharya Sukumalnandi Maharaj, where large number of community people gathered and discussed on the unfortunate incidence of attack on Jain muni.

Muni Prabal Sagar’s is admitted in Junagarh’s hospital and his condition is said to be critical, Muni Prabal Sagar received multiple injuries in the attack that took place on 31st December at Kamandal Kund. The attacker is already arrested by police.

Paras Singhvi, President of Chamber of Commerce, Pramod Samar, BJP member, Dr. Kiran Jain, Councilor Ward.17, Jinendra Shastri, President BJP Youth Front, Raj Kumar Pratap, Owner of LBS coaching centre and Suresh Chittora etc. were present in today’s meeting.

Acharya Sukumalnandi has said that, all community people will close their work from 10am-1pm and will lay procession from town hall to Collectorate and will give memorandum to the authority.

“It is an unfortunate incidence which hurted the feeling of our community people; we demand strict action against the accused”, said Acharya Sukumalnandi.

I asked people to do protest in the form of small rallies in different areas of the city and will write post cards in the name of Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Muni Prabal Sagar was born in Devpura village of Sarada area and he did his first Chaturmaas at Zawar Mines and then he went to Gujarat in the month of November, Muni has blamed Muktanandgiri for the attack.
