By walking 30 kilometers every day the group members give presentation amongst the people about the importance of conversation of environment and water.

The eldest member of the group, a 48 year old man of Lakhimpur area of Uttar Pradesh Avadh Bihari Lal was the one who started his world tour alone from his village in the year 1980 when he was a 13 year old boy. As he moved on his journey, by 1995, 20 other people had joined him and as a team of 20 members they have travelled to 10 different countries of the world.

While talking to UT, Aavadh Bihari informed that he had lost his family members in the massive Flood that had destroyed his village and in that year itself, he decided to go on a world tour on foot and to spread awareness of conversation of environment. On July 30, 1980 he started his journey that was flagged off by the then PM Indira Gandhi. His journey has started getting recognition after Late Rajeev Gandhi met him and once again flagged off his journey in 1989.

While talking about his team Bihari said that 2 of his team members Jitendra Pratap and Mahendra Pratap joined him in 1995 whereas 15 others joined the group in the year 2000 out of which 4 of them are girls. Bihari also added that where ever he goes he meets the administrative officers for help in regards to lodging. On Wednesday, the team met the Additional District Magistrate O.P Bunker and SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal who appreciated their cause.

Jitendra Pratap, one of the members of the group said that they had faced a lot of challenges during their journey. He shared one of the experiences to UT saying that they were held hostage for a week by Naxalites while crossing the Jharkhand jungle area but later convinced them and were set free.

Till now the group has already planted 2 Crore plants under their initiative; moreover, the group named as “Adventure Sports Longest World Tour on Foot Journey” got their name registered in Guinness Book of World Records and in Limca Book of Records by travelling 10 countries on foot, Jitendra Pratap added.

During their stay in Udaipur they will organize a seminar for the students of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University where they will share their experiences and educate them about the importance of the conservation of environment and water.

At the end Pratap said that it will take another 5 years to travel the remaining 10 thousand to complete their journey of 3 Lac Kilometers. Now they will head towards South Korea and it will be a new experience for them to cross a sea. Beside that soon a book based on their journey will be launched in the market.
