In the ongoing Road Safety Week that started from 16 Jan with a road show to aware motorists with the traffic rules and regulations. Today, a short film on road traffic awareness was showed to school students at Picture Palace.

In the ongoing Road Safety Week that started from 16 Jan with a road show to aware motorists with the traffic rules and regulations. Today, a short film on road traffic awareness was showed to school students at Picture Palace.

Over 200 students from Alok, Jawahar Jain, Residency, Jyoti Shishu Niketan, Fatah and Guru Gobind Singh School watched the film related to road safety and regulations.

According to District Collector Vikas Bhale, the theme of 24th Road Safety Week is “Stay Alive: Don’t Drink and Drive”.

Besides, its regular promotion with rallies, distributing pamphlets etc. showing short film on traffic could be effective for students; consequently, with the joint efforts of Department of Education and Udaipur Traffic Department and under direction of District Collector, it was decided to showcase short film of 1 hour every day till 22 Jan.

“Our motive is to bring awareness in young students about road safety and traffic rules, this will optimistically help in reducing road mishaps”, says one of the official.
