A mini marathon will be organized in Udaipur on Sunday, 14th September. The mini marathon has been organized by Round Table India and Ladies Circle India in association with Karnataka Bank.

The marathon, termed as ‘Run for Reason 2014″, will be flagged off from the Fateh Sagar Overflow area on Sunday at 6 in the morning. The marathon has been organized with the objective of fund-raising. The funds generated via the event will be sent to needy people.

Nitin Gattani, Chairman, Udaipur Lake city Round Table, informed that the race will start from the overflow point of Fateh Sagar Lake & after passing through Mumbaiya Bazar, Singhal Marg , Mahakaleshwar Circle and Rani Road  will finally culminate at the Dewali end of Fateh Sagar.

Gattani further added that the 8.5 kilometers the race will be divided in the age groups of 14-18,19-40 & above 41 above years of age. Besides, there will be special category for Policemen & Army men.

Saurabh Gandhi, Chairman of Udaipur United Round Table informed that there is no registration fees and all participants will be provided with t shirts.

Simant Agarwal, Chairman of  URT said that buoyed by last year’s marathon success, the organizers decided to continue with this event instead of a Treasure Hunt Car rally that was organized earlier.

The club has worked aggressively for needy people under their National Agenda of ‘Freedom through Education’. There more over 250 Round Tables in the country and have collectively contributed towards construction of 6000 classrooms for poor students including 6 class rooms & bathrooms worth Rs 20 Lacs at Vidya Niketan School, Badgaon,  Agarwal said.
