Celebration of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti
The Birthday of the Tenth Saint of the Sikh community, Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated at a grand level at Udaipur by the community people on Wednesday. The program of Bhajan Recitation and devotional songs was held at the Gurudwara Sach Snag Dabar situated at Sikh Colony.

In the afternoon, a procession was carried out in the city in which huge number of Sikh people took part and various tubules were presented during the procession.
Tejendra Singh Robin, President of Gurudwara Sach Sang Darbar informed that they have celebrated the Birthday of their Saint Guru Govind Singh in the city as a ‘Prakash Parv’ in which various activities were performed.
In the morning a program of Bhajan recitation was organized at the Gurudwara after which in the afternoon at around 1.30 pm a procession was carried out which began from Shatri Circle and by passing via Court Circle, Chetak Circle, Hathipol, Delhigate it returned back to the Gurudwara in the evening.
A group of young boys of Amritsar known as Veer Khalsa group performed various techniques of self defense and also displayed their courage by breaking ice cube on head, breaking tube lights on head.
Robin further added that the saint thought them to always take a stand against the Social evils and the unlawful activities going on in the society. He always fought against ‘Wrong’ and spread the message of Peace in the world.
Beside the procession and demonstration, an arrangement of Cracker busting and a mass Langar for more than 5,000 people was arranged that was open for all, said Robin.
