As the festival of sacrifice, Eid-ul-Adha arrives near, Muslims get busy finding a goat of their liking.  For the past one week, ‘bakra-mandi’ the goat market at Hathipol is swarming with sellers and buyers of Goats.  With sky touching inflation, prices of Goats have also been raised from the last year.

Jamal Khan, who has been trading in the bakra mandi for more than 10 years said, “More than 1000 goats are sold every day.  Traders, normally sellers and also some buyers come from nearby districts of Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Banswara and Bhilwara”.
