VIP Wedding in Ranakpur: Top National Leaders to Attend
Heavy secutiy deployment ensured during dignitaries’ movement on the Udaipur-Ranakpur Ghat section via Sayra
Udaipur, Nov 22, 2025 - The wedding of the granddaughter of Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur is taking place in Ranakpur today. Several VIP guests arrived on Friday for the ceremony and others are expected on Saturday. Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Assam Governor Lakshman Acharya and Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, along with many other political leaders, have already arrived. After reaching Udaipur airport, they proceeded to Ranakpur.
Today, guests arriving are Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Uttar Pradesh Minister Narendra Kashyap, Mizoram Governor VK Singh, MP Brijmohan Agrawal and several other dignitaries.
Owing to the VIP movement on the Udaipur–Ranakpur Ghat section via Sayra route, security arrangements have been tightened. Until late Thursday night, the Public Works Department repaired potholes in the ghat section and carried out patchwork. The road condition was improved by filling the shoulders on both sides. Senior engineers and officials supervised the work. On Friday, a strong police contingent from Sayra remained deployed on the route.
