1 Arrested in Courier Boys Kidnapping case
Udaipur police has arrested one and seized a car in the case of kidnapping and loot that took place on 09/01/13 when two courier boys, Mansa Ram Prajapat and Dinesh Prajapat, who carrying gold ornaments (1 kg 900g in weight) with them, were kidnapped in a Bolero Car. They were released a few hours later but the ornaments were taken by the accused.

After this incident, a police investigating team was made under the directions of Hariprasad Sharma, S.P that consisted of Hanuwant Singh, Roop Lal, Ram Swaroop and Sabu Ram.
During the investigation, the team got the information about a Scorpio and a Bolero passing from the toll booth. Later it was found that the Scorpio was also involved in the crime. The team searched for the details of the owner of the car and identified him as Karan Singh Mertia, Resident of Jhalwaar, Jhalor.
Police team searched for Mertia at many places in Jhalawar and Jhodhpur and finally arrested him from his house at Jhalawar.
Hariprasad Sharma informed that, in the police interrogation Karan has divulged the names of other accused that were involved in the kidnap. The accused were identified as Sulemaan Khan, R/o Tura Village, District, Jhalor, Dulatraj Mewara, R/o Manda Village, District Jhalor, Jitendra Prajapat , Bhidan Village, District Jhalor and Chel Singh, R/O Limba Vaas Village, District Jhalor Etc.
He also reveled that a boy from Udaipur had made the plan to kidnap the two courier boys with the accused Jitendra.
Execution of the Plan
The accused planned the whole kidnapping. On 8th January, all the accused reached Udaipur and visited the whole route through which they would escape. They divided into two teams; one consisted of five members and the other consisted of four members.
On 09/01/13, after kidnapping the duo, they fled away towards Gujarat and after snatching the bag full of Ornaments they left the victims at Vijay Nagar and headed towards Sirohi.
Karan informed Police that after reaching at the house of a relative, they opened the packet and divided the gold among themselves.
Hariprasad Sharma S.P said that this would lead to crucial information about many other related cases and that the other accused of this case will be arrested soon.
