The attempt of looting an ATM failed when police team arrived timely and succeeded in arresting one robber while two other managed to escape. Incident occurred after midnight (at 2:15AM) just few meters away from Goverdhan Vilas Police station.

Police team was alerted after receiving call from unknown person informing that some suspicious sound is coming from an ATM Booth near Balicha. Acting immediately on the information, a police patrol team approached the ATM booth of SBBJ bank and found three people were trying to break the ATM Machine.

Seeing police, the suspects started fleeing. During the chase, the accused allegedly attacked police constables Tikaram and Saburam who received minor injuries but successfully caught one accused identified as Murali Kanjar, 35, hailing from Chittorgarh’s Piplikhera Village.

While interrogation, Murali first denied any involvement but later informed about his accomplices as Prema and Mastram, both from the same village. He also informed that all three have criminal cases against them.

S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba admired the dedication and bravery of both constables Tikaram and Saburam and assured granting them special recognition.
