A man along with his parents was sentenced to Jail after they were found guilty of causing death due to Dowry by Additional Session Court.

The accused, Narendra Choudhary and his father Ratan were sentenced to 10 years behind bars; his mother Shanta Devi was given a sentence of 7 years imprisonment by the Udaipur court. These sentences were handed over to Narendra and his parents over the death of Arti, who was killed for dowry.

Around 28 witnessed and 67 supporting documents were presented in the court, after which the final decision was given by the court and the accused were awarded their sentences under Section (304- B).

Earleir the FIR against the accused was registered on 9th March 2010 at Pratap Nagar police station by Arti’s father Pushpendra Mewada for killing Arti for dowry.

After getting the report police had started probing into the matter. This sentence comes after 4 years of investigation.
