In an incident that took place today evening at Alankaar Jewelers Mohti Chohta, four unidentified people robbed 11 pairs of gold ear tops; the whole incident was recorded into CCTV which was later given to police.

The suspects entered in the shop at 5:30 and insisted to see earrings and ear tops. According to the shop owner Mohan Makhija, there were four people (2 men and 2 women) the men were 20-25 year old while both women were around 40-45 year old.

Makhija said, “As our salesmen were showing them earrings, the suspects stole 11 pair of gold ear tops from the boxes that were kept on the table. We realized that we have been robbed when we were counting our jewels at the end of the day”.

Fortunately, the complete theft episode of nearly 15 minutes was recorded in the close circuit cameras installed in the shop.

All senior police officials including Ad SP Tejraj Singh and SHO Ghantaghar Shankarlal reached the spot and started investigation as per the information provided by the shopkeeper and CCTV footage.
