Surajpol police arrested 14 accused under the charge of Gambling and seized Rs. 35,000 cash, a mobile phone and a deck of cards from the accused.

The accused, including 2 from M.P and 3 from Rajsamand were arrested by the police. Reacting upon an information received by sources, a team of police including DySP Madhuri Verma and her team Kesar Singh and Vishnu Sharm raided Mehta Ji Ki Badi area situated near Rana Pratap Railway.

They caught Ranjeet alias Mintu Sardar who was holding slips of paper on which few numbers were written and also amount of cash Rs 35,000 from the accused, said DySP Madhuri.

During the raid, around 14 other accused were arrested by the police from the scene who were present there and speculating with the help of Sardar.

The accused were identified as Ranjeet Singh alias Mintu Sardar, Shahjad Khan, Laxman Singh, Hajari Singh, Ansar Ali, Mohit, Honey Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Tarjeet Singh, Ashfaq, Kishanlal, Govind, Udaylal and Narendra. All of the them were arrested and the interrogation is still on by the police to get more details relating to crime nexus, said DySP.
