The special unit of Anti Corruption Bureau has trapped a LDC and a contractual employee of Land Record Archives Department while they were accepting bribe of Rs.1.8 Lakhs for providing the land records of victim’s ancestral house.

The arrested accused were identified as Mohan Lal Mundra the Lower Division Clerk and Laxmi Lal Soni a Contractual employee, the duo were trapped by the ACB on Saturday for demanding and accepting  the bribe amount from the victim Bhagwan Lal Soni for providing him the records of his ancestral house situated at Jagdish Chowk.

While talking to the media victim Bhagwan Lal Soni informed that he was contacting the accused LDC from last 4 months to get the records of his ancestral house as those records were required as evidence in connection to a case related to the property dispute. The accused first pressurized him to give Rs.5 Lakhs, later the amount was negotiated to Rs.1.8 lakhs, but before handing over the amount to the accused the victim lodged complaint to ACB officials.

Hanuwant Singh Rajpurohit, SHO, Special Unit of ACB informed, after verifying the complaint the team has trapped Laxmi Lal Soni while he was accepting the bribe on the behalf of his Mohan Lal Mundra. Later Mundra was also nabbed.

Both the accused alleged that some top officers of the department are also involved in the bribery, ACB has started investigation.

Land Record Archives Department deals with the various records of the ancient’s times (before independence), after independence and it was situated inside the premises of Palace but since 2009 it has been shifted to Sector .3 of Hiran Magri area.
