2 arrested for robbing a foreign tourist

Two people were arrested for robbing a British female tourist on 28th Feb 2014 on her way to Ranakpur. The victim, 50-year-old Carol Russell lodged complaint at Gogunda Police Station immediately after the mishap.

 

Two people were arrested for robbing a British female tourist on 28th Feb 2014 on her way to Ranakpur. The victim, 50-year-old Carol Russell lodged complaint at Gogunda Police Station immediately after the mishap.

During investigation of the case, police arrested two people, Radhakishan Paliwal and Ashok Paliwal of Chatiya Khedi Village.

S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba informed, “While the victim was bicycling from Udaipur to Ranakpur, both accused came on motorbike and robbed her bag containing valuables and cash. After few days, the bag with her passport was found hanging on a tree few meters from the place of incident.”

Lamba said, “The accused were caught by the stolen mobile phone of victim. Police found that, the phone is currently used by a person known as Radhakishan Paliwal. Upon interrogation, Radhakishan revealed the name of Ashok Paliwal.”

Now police is trying to recover all stolen items from the accused.
