2 arrested for selling fake gold brick

Two people have been arrested for selling a fake gold brick for Rs.1 Lac to their own tenant. Hathipol Police have started an investigation into the matter.

According to police, Ramlal Meena, the victim of the fraud, lodged a report against Narayan Singh and his brother Arjun Singh for selling him a gold brick for Rs.1 Lac which was later verified as a fake.

Meena, a resident Narayan Singh’s house at Chityrakoot Nagar as a tenant, alleged that Singh first became friendly with him, and then told him of a gold brick in their possession which he can buy at a price cheaper than the actual market price.

After checking the brick, it was found to be made of brass and had gold water on it.
