Two accused were arrested from different areas of the city. One of the accused identified as Imran Alais Hathi was arrested by Ghanta Ghar police from Dudhtalai on the information of sources, whereas Hathipol police in another incidence nabbed Nadeem Mevafarosh from Chetak Circle, near post office. The police seized the weapons and arrested the accused. They are booked under sections of Arms Act.

Imran caught by Ghanta Ghar police revealed that he had bought the illegal pistol and bullets from another accused Shadat urf Altaf with an intention to threaten someone over an old issue. Based on this information, the police raided the hideout of Shadat and arrested him too, said the police.

In the other part of the city, Hathipol police got a tip off of a suspect present at Chetak Circle with fire weapons in his possession. Reacting upon the information, a team of Hathipol police rushed to the scene and nabbed the accused Nadeem who was found with a country made pistol, informed the police.

The police is attempting to retrieve more information about the network of illegal weapon supply working actively in and around the city.
