Kherwada Police seized an ice cream truck containing illegal liquor worth Rs. 40 Lacs and arrested 2 accused along with the consignment from Kherwada Toll plaza on Monday afternoon.

Prakash Khatik, the driver and Karan Singh, the spotter; both from Delwada were arrested while they were heading towards Gujarat from Haryana. After receiving a tipoff, an immediate barricading was launched at Kherwada Toll Plaza.

The Ice cream truck coming forward was held at the Toll Plaza and checked in which 750 cartons of illegal liquor, market value of which was around Rs. 40 Lacs were found. All the cartons were seized whereas the driver and the spotter of the truck were arrested, said police.

The police is now interrogating them further about the network of trade of illegal liquor.
