An illegal liquor consignment worth Rs. 50 Lac was seized, resulting in the arrest of a truck driver and his spotter by the Excise department officials at Udaipur Bypass today morning. The truck was loaded with more than a thousand boxes of Haryana made liquor.

Mahipal Singh, Excise Officer informed that today morning they received information that a truck with illegal liquor was coming towards Pratap Nagar and going towards Dungarpur. The team installed barricades and caught the truck with the consignment.

The arrested are identified as Hira Lal and Puran Singh, both from Chittorgarh. The vehicle and liquor have been seized and kept in the Excise office compound at Khanjipeer.
