Two people, a truck driver and his potter, were arrested with an illegal liquor consignment of Rs. 25 Lac by excise department of Udaipur during a highway checking.

In total, 1590 boxes of whisky printed ‘Only for sale in Arunachal Pradesh’ were caught by excise department from a truck coming from Chandigarh and going to Gujarat where sale and consumption of liquor is banned.

“Ravat Singh Yadav, driver and Braham Prakash , spotter were arrested and the receipts of two different products were found from their custody one was of Churi  and other was of Biscuit”, informed Ghanshayam Singh, C.I. Excise Department.

Truck with liquor was seized and taken to excise department at Khanjipeer.
