2 Injured in sword attack at Pacific College

Two students of Pacific College have been brutally attacked by a group of assailants, loaded with sharp weapons, inside the college campus at Pratap Nagar. The police have lodged complaint and launched manhunt.

Two students of Pacific College have been brutally attacked by a group of assailants, loaded with sharp weapons, inside the college campus at Pratap Nagar. The police have lodged complaint and launched manhunt.

Students, Gopal Singh and Bhumif Doshi received multiple injuries on ribs, hands and back in the attack. Both students are admitted in hospital, where there condition is said to be out of danger.

10 people who have been accused of the attack are identified as Aryan Meghwal, Sandeep Meghwal, Govind Singh, Himmat Singh, Gopal Singh, Vijay Harijan, Sanjay Harijan, Dilip Lohar, Kishan Singh alias Balla and Bharat Saran.

As informed to police by Rahul Agrawal, Secretary of Pacific College, “At 11 in the morning when both Gopal and Bhumif were in their class, a group of young men suddenly entered in and pulled-out both of them and started hitting them with iron rods and swords”.

College professor Indrajeet Singhvi also got hurt, while trying to control the situation.

According to police’s initial investigation, two possible reasons of the attack are assumed: firstly, an internal rivalry regarding the management of upcoming fresher’s party and the other reason is allegedly concerning a girl. No official statement is recorded yet from concerned authority.

Rahul Agrawal told media personnel that, he will brief the security arrangement of the college as there are a number of incidents reported lately, when boys from outside enter their college and indulge in such attacks etc.
