Two men were arrested from Udiapol Bus Stand today with 3 kilogram of afeem worth Rs.2.5 Lac. Both accused are from Barmer District and were nabbed while they were trying to catch a bus.

Prahlad Jat and Harlal Jat, residents of Bhimar Loi, Barmer are believed to be drug smugglers. They came to Udaipur from Chittorgarh and were going towards Barmer. The afeem was kept hidden in milk container.

Ramesh Kumar, SHO Surajpol Police said, “Both the accused are drug addicts. We have already contacted our counterparts in Barmer to know criminal backgrounds of the accused.”

“We had received information about both accused carrying drugs and will be catching a bus for Barmer from Udiapol. The police team included Samay Singh, Athar Khan, Gulzar, Rajesh Mehta, Shyam Sunder, Ram Naresh who assisted in successfully arresting the accused,” said Ramesh Kumar.
