Sarada police on Saturday arrested 2 accused while they were trying to persuade a teacher to increase the marks in the answer sheets of the 10th Board examination of their school, situated at Sikar.

Sarada police on Saturday arrested 2 accused while they were trying to persuade a teacher to increase the marks in the answer sheets of the 10th Board examination of their school, situated at Sikar. The teacher ignored the monetary offer made to him and instead informed the police about the incidence.

The accused identified as Panna Singh Rajput and Suresh alias Pintu Jaat are residents of Khatushyamji area in Sikar and are the members of the working committee of the school management, Bhandu Public Sr. Sec School (Sikar).

After getting the information of the answer copies that were with a teacher of Social Sciences, Amar Chand, both the accused reached Sarada and attempted to offer cash reward to him for giving good marks to all the students of their school.

Unfortunately for them, Amar refused to accept their offer and informed Sarada police who arrested the duo later, informed SHO Shiv Lal.

During the initial interrogation, the accused revealed that the information of the answer sheets was provided to them by Darshan Kumar Sharma, a clerk at secret branch of Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer who had charged Rs. 30,000 for the info.

Based on his information, the duo accused had already met teachers in 12 other districts and gave the teachers money in return of good results.

SHO further added that both the accused are booked under various sections of Rajasthan Public Examination 1992 and IPC and are sent to 2 days police custody remand by the court.

The interrogation of both is still on and all other teachers who will be found involved in this case, accepting the bribe will be arrested, SHO Shiv Lal informed.
