The duo of suspects who were detained by the Special Task Force, Udaipur police on Monday were produced in front of Additional District Magistrate under section 151 of CRPC after they were nabbed by the cops at Surajpol Circle selling Fake Mobile Phones on Monday.

The Police confiscated around 20 mobiles phones of a mobile company on which their model number 208 was printed but as such the company haven’t made any of their mobile phone with that model number. Prima faceia all the mobile phones were considered fake and were seized, Police Said.

Sub Inspector Bharat Yogi informed that the suspects Ashok Soni & Bhaidas Soni of Jalgaon area of Maharastra were found selling fake phones one by one to the people on the pretext of having financial crises. All the phones are marked with 208 model number which will be verified with the help of the representatives of the mobile company.

Besides this, all the mobile phones found in the custody of the suspects were seized from them under section 102 of CRPC. In the initial interrogation both the accused revealed that they had brought the mobile phones from Mumbai and had sold around 100 in the last 3 days. They also added that they use to come to the Surajpol Circle of the city and target the villagers and less educated people on the pretext of facing financial crises and in urgent need of money, they sold the phone in either Rs.5000 or Rs. 3000, as per Police.
