Pratap Nagar Police has seized 2500kg fake ghee and arrested the dairy owner for producing and selling fake ghee in market.

Acting on the information received, the circle inspector of Pratap Nagar Police Station raided the dairy situated at Kanpur Madri today morning and arrested the owner Lal Singh. 6 tin boxes full of fake ghee was found from the room situated just behind the dairy.

Police also found a gas stove, some utensils, oil tins and many other types of equipment from the place which were also seized.

The raid was carried out in the presence of Food Safety Officer who took the samples of the seized products and sent it to the laboratory. The accused is arrested and the interrogation is going on to know more details about the people involved in the illicit business and how it is operated.
