A 28 year old woman, resident of Sukher committed suicide for no specific reason by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house. The incidence came in light on Monday when her husband did not find her at the place where she was sleeping last night.

Later the dead body of the victim woman was shifted to the mortuary where after postmortem, it was handed over to her family.

According to the police, the victim and her husband hails from Salumbar village and were staying at Shuker in a rented house. The couple had got married in 2011 and had a 2.5 year old daughter. The couple with their daughter went to sleep on Sunday night outside their room but when the Husband got up in the morning, he found his wife missing from the place. He started searching for her everywhere and was shocked to see his wife hanging from the ceiling of one of the rooms of the their house which was locked from inside, said police.

Police also found that the husband of the victim woman is police constable who was posted at one of the police stations of the city.

No specific reason behind the suicide was found in the initial investigation, but the matter is still under scrutiny, said Sukher Police.
