4 Arrested as Kidnapping attempt foiled by Alert Policemen

An event manager and owner of a Travel agency, who was reportedly kidnapped, has been rescued by the Goverdhan Vilas police yesterday.

 

An event manager and owner of a Travel agency, who was reportedly kidnapped, has been rescued by the Goverdhan Vilas police yesterday. Four of the arrested accused, viz. Ganpat Singh Rathore, resident of Pula, Udaipur; Bhanwar Singh Kumawat, resident of Dewali, Udaipur; Ganesh Bhoi, resident of Sutharwada, Udaipur and Vinod Dhobi, resident of Sundarwas, Udaipur were arrested under the charge of kidnaping the victim Rajesh Singh Rathore who is an Event Manager and also runs a travel agency named “Mukesh Travels”at Goverdhan Vilas. Rathore makes arrangements for Royal Weddings at Udaipur on a large scale, as per the Police. As informed by the Police, around 6pm on March 14, all the 4 accused went to Mukesh Travels at Goverdhan Vilas in a car and demanded Rs. 5 lac of Rajesh. When he refused, they pushed him inside the car and headed towards Balicha. They snathced the victims mobile phone off him and started beating him. When Rajesh started resisting and shouting, the car was noticed by Policemen who were having tea at a stall near the Goverdhan Vilas Police Station. The two active police men immediately started following the car and also informed the other police men at the station. After a chase, the accused were nabbed near Savina and the victim rescued to prevent what could have been a kidnapping. The mobile phones of the victim were recovered from the accused. A case has been registered and Police have initiated their proceedings.
