Hiran Magri Police arrested four people for thrashing and assaulting a man for property related issue. Surprisingly, one of the accused is elder brother of the victim and fatally attacked his own brother.

According to police, the victim Chirag Jain, resident of sector 5 lodged report against his brother Shailendra Jain and his aides Firoz Pathan, Nizam Mohammad and Liyaqat Ali for attacking him with knives on the night of 4^th Oct.

Chirag informed police that the incident took place outside Guru Kripa Restaurant, near Gurunanak School when he and his friends were sitting inside their car and suddenly the accused came there and pulled him out.

They allegedly attacked Chirag with knives and left him injured. Next day, Chirag lodged FIR against the accused under various sections of IPC including 147, 341, 323 and 307.

Investigation and search for the accused was started. Police traced them on 6^th Oct and arrested all four from Goverdhan Vilas area. As per SHO Narpat Singh, “One of the accused, Shailendra is brother of victim Chirag. Both brothers have prolong issues related to property.”

According to police, few years back, Chirag and his associates attacked Shailendra. Hence this attack is initially considered as an act of revenge.

All accused are sent to police remand for two days. Police is expecting to get more clues related to the case soon.
