4 arrested for Illegal LPG Cylinder Filling
Impeding the illegal business of refilling LPG cylinders, the city police has raided several places and arrested four suspects accused refilling cylinders under the guise of other businesses like automobile workshops, etc.

More than four dozen gas cylinders and refilling equipments were seized in the operation.
Anant Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police has informed that the first raid was conducted at Patel Motor Garage located near Anil Orthopedic Center, Sevashram Chouraha. Cars with LPG were allegedly filled using domestic gas cylinders.
An undercover policeman went to the Motor Garage as a customer and asked for LPG cylinder in his car. As soon as the suspects agreed and started the process, the undercover cop signalled the police team who immediately raided the workshop.
39 gas cylinders were seized and three people Nandlal, Dinesh and Ramlal were arrested under Essential Commodity Act.
In another raid executed at a Garage at Thokar Chouraha, one person identified as Amir Mohammad, resident of sector 7 was arrested for allegedly refilling LPG cylinders. 10 Cylinders were seized from the place.
The illegal business of gas refilling is flourishing in the city from past several months. Few fatal incidents of fire were a result of explosion from gas cylinders, which also caused loss of life and property.
