4 thieves arrested; Accept committing dozens of thefts
Four people are arrested by Hathipol Police on 8th Jan with large amount of stolen copper wire. The accused are booked under various sections of IPC while the interrogation is going on in hope to get clues of more thefts they are likely to be involved in past.
Four people are arrested by Hathipol Police on 8th Jan with large amount of stolen copper wire. The accused are booked under various sections of IPC while the interrogation is going on in hope to get clues of more thefts they are likely to be involved in past.
The accused are identified as Lokesh Khatik, Akram Khan, Mohammad Aslam and Sher Khan all residents of old city areas of Loha Bazar, Dhanmandi while one of the accused is resident of Sajjan Nagar.
According to police, the accused were caught from Shiksha Bhawan area on Friday with heavy bags with them. Upon checking, a large number of copper wires were found which they have stolen from a shop named New Fakhri Electricals at Loha Bazar.
During interrogation, the accused also revealed committing thefts in many commercial and residential properties located in Bada Bazar, Sukhadia Circle, Mukherjee Chowk, Fatehpura, Surajpol and Ashwini Bazar.
According to police all accused are hardcore drug addicts and due to their crave they even consume cough syrup.
