In an utterly strange incident of theft that occurred last night in a house at Bhopalpura, missing gold ornaments weighing 40 Tolas have been found lying on the ground a few meters away from the targetted house. However, cash amount of Rs. 2.5 Lac is still not found.

 

In an utterly strange incident of theft that occurred last night in a house at Bhopalpura, missing gold ornaments weighing 40 Tolas have been found lying on the ground a few meters away from the targetted house. However, cash amount of Rs. 2.5 Lac is still not found.

Police has doubted ‘insiders’ hand in the alleged offense; the gold ornaments were seized by police and will be given to the owner only after showing the purchase bills.

According to sources, the house owner Laxmi Chand Ahuja (40) resident of M1 Road, Bhopalpura was out of his house yesterday evening, when his mother coincidently went in the room upstairs, she discovered the room completely ransacked, she immediately called Laxmichand.

Laxmichand reached home and found that the cupboards were forcibly opened and 40 tola gold ornaments with Rs.2.5lac cash were missing.

He informed the police and shortly Dy S.P Anant Kumar and C.I Bhopal Pura Satish Meena reached the spot and conducted a search. The police team have found a plastic bag carrying gold ornaments lying abandoned at the ground situated nearby, while the cash is still missing.

Laxmichand owns restaurants Shiv Shakti Restaurant and Shivram Cold House at Chetak Circle.

According to police, there might be someone known involved in the crime. The FIR has been lodged last night at 11:30pm.

The ornaments seized would be given to court and the owner can take them back after producing the purchase bills.
