48-hr-old Baby left to Die in the Backyard

A new born baby boy died on the way to hospital, after the infant was rescued from the backyard of a house where he was left unattended by the mother.

The baby boy was initially found alive at the backward of Dudha Meena r/o Dakiya village, Umarda. Dudhia immediately informed the Hiran Magri Police station, and the baby was subsequently rushed to hospital, but died on the way. The infant was cremated subsequent to a mandatory postmortem conducted at the hospital mortuary. Attending doctors have confirmed the death due to an injury in the stomach of the infant. A case has been registered by the police against an unknown woman for leaving the 48 hr old infant at the backyard and causing subsequent death of the infant.
