Five people were arrested by Semari Police for robbing Rs.50000 cash and valuables from a man. The incident took place on 21^st May at bus stand of Semari, nearly 50kms from Udaipur.

The accused Vinod Meena, Mukesh Meena, Jevatram Meena, Sanjay and Ishwar allegedly robbed cash, mobile phone and a gold chain from the victims Devilal Patel and his friend Damodar.

During initial interrogation, it was found that the victims and the key accused Vinod and Mukesh were having liqor in a local bar, where they noticed that Devilal had cash. Both accused called their associates and planned to rob the victims.

S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba informed that, all the accused followed Devilal and his friend till bus stand where they stopped them and started beating them. The accused robbed the cash, mobile phones and a gold chain and fled away.

The injured victims somehow managed to reach the police station and lodged a complaint.

“Police has started investigation and talked to the bar owner and other people present there which helped nabbing the accused,” said S.P.
