5 arrested for possessing illegal weapons
City police of Pratap Nagar in its attempt to crack the local nexus dealing in illegal arms arrested five people and confiscated four weapons and a live bullet from them. The action came along following number of arrests and raids previously.
City police of Pratap Nagar in its attempt to crack the local nexus dealing in illegal arms arrested five people and confiscated four weapons and a live bullet from them. The action came along following number of arrests and raids previously.
One of the accused Vijay, resident of Ambamata is believed to be the main accused. Vijay has allegedly supplied weapons to all four accused, Manish Meena, Arjun Meena, Prakash Meena and Dinesh Vaishnav.
Police found a revolver from Manish, resident of Kesariyaji while country made pistols were found from other three accused. Police is also linking the main accused Vijay’s connection with big criminals.
Vijay informed police that he has one contact in Indore who supplies him weapons. Vijay also said that his only motive is to earn hefty commission on each weapon. He used to sell country made pistol in Rs.15-20 thousand.
Under the direction of S.P. Mahesh Kumar Goyal, Police is constantly rounding up suspects and raiding several places to restrain the illegal trade of arms in the city.
