A clash between senior and junior students of Rabindra Nath Tagore (RNT) Medical College occurred last night. Five students of 1 ^st Year MBBS received injuries and a police case is also lodged against 6-7 students.

The fight occurred last night at around 11:30 at the medical college’s Junior Boys Hostel (RNT Medical College). The seniors allegedly thrashed juniors with iron rods and sticks.

According to the victims, they were beaten by seniors and the hostel’s furniture, cooler etc were also damaged in the clash.

A junior student Sunil Choudhary has lodged complaint against Gulshan, Gyan Prakash, Deepak Porwal, Kailash, Tulsiram Ahari, Jhalam Singh Parihar, Devendra Dutta and Suresh Meena etc. All are studying in batch 13, 11 and 10.

As per the report, all accused were allegedly drunk and attacked junior students. The accused also damaged hostel property.

No college administrative officials was available to comment on the issue.
